Products with "Organic" on Custom Food Labels Could See More Sales According to a new report, more people are consuming organic products as indicated on custom food labels. The research found that about 81 percent of families now purchase organic products at least once in a while. As a result, the compound annual growth rate of organic foods is expected to grow 14 percent from 2013 to 2018. Foods that use organic methods of production are expected to see significant growth in the next few years, according to a news release accompanying the study. The most popular natural products are fruits and vegetables, but organic meat and fish are projected to gain in popularity as well. This means those who do use organic processes should emphasize this fact more clearly in food label printing.

Food Product Labels Indicating Organic Foods Will Sell Better Growing concern about the use of pesticides and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) has led consumers to seek out food product labels that demonstrate organic items. According to Food Navigator, the study participants fell into several categories, called "true believers" and "enlightened environmentalists." In addition, these two groups - about 18 percent of shoppers - accounted for almost half of all natural product purchases. This means that a large amount of the public remains untapped.
