Transit Authority Launches Safety Program With Car Window Stickers
The United Arab Emirates' Road and Transport Authority (RTA) implemented a new initiative with car window stickers to remind people to drive safety. According to Middle Eastern news source AME Info, the country's transit department developed a safety awareness campaign with the slogan "Your Safety First." The program is aimed toward the safety of heavy transport vehicles while they are on the road. The RTA asked companies with the vehicles to place car stickers on the two side windows and the rear glass for other drivers.
Customized Car Stickers Come to Heavy Transport Vehicles AME Info reports the customized car stickers provide a constant reminder for heavy vehicle drivers to practice safe driving.
Abdullah Al Mahra, director of monitoring and enforcement at the Licensing Agency, told the news source residents had voiced concerns about their safety while on the road with heavy transportation vehicles.
"Work is going on massively in cooperation with the various concerned agencies in Dubai to implement a number of initiatives that aim at guiding others to achieve the Authority's vision and that is 'Safe and Easy Transport for All'," Al Mahra said.
